The eighth course while attending my Master's program at Full Sail University for Digital Marketing Management we focused on Advanced Search Engine Optimization. Throughout this course, I developed several important documents, including a Competitor Analysis using tools like Spyfu.com, a Pay Per Click Campaign pitch deck, a guide on what a healthy website architecture is, and lastly a strategy for Local Search Optimization. I also engaged in multiple discussion forums with other students, where we discussed keyword strategies, additional competitor insights, internal vs. external SEO and link building and over optimization and how it can impact results.

In the Competitor Analysis on Spyfu.com, I evaluated the organic search performance of three competitors against my case study company. This involved analyzing organic search volume, keywords, and comparing the strengths and weaknesses of each competitor.
Competitor Analysis in Paid Search & Optimization Strategy
Similarly, in the Competitor Analysis on Spyfu.com, I assessed the paid search performance of three competitors relative to my case study company. I examined paid search volume, keywords, and compared the advantages and disadvantages of each competitor. Additionally, I analyzed two more competitors, reviewed their PPC ads, and created a PPC ad for my case study company.
Looking back
This course opened my eyes and helped me grasp the understanding as to what goes into creating results withing SEO. The information that was gathered form required readings, personal research, and peer discussions. I learned about various SEO strategies, link building was something I had no knowledge of before attending this course. Even though I do not work for PSA my selected company the information that I have gathered will allow me to apply my new found knowledge moving forward with companies that acquire my service.
