Digital Design and Usability: Getting Sights Back on Target

themajinchew

Jumping into my fifth class in the Digital Marketing Management Masters program at Full Sail University we focused our energy on Design and Usability. During my studies, I created an in-depth analysis of Palmetto State Armory's landing page, a professional presentation of the website's usability, performed a task study with a member of the targeted demographic group, dove head first into the navigation/ informational scent, and then completed a final website plan presentation for my findings. While completing these tasks I also participated in multiple discussion boards asking and giving professional feedback which spawned meaningful conversations based on the topics listed above.

All assignments during this course aligned design, management, and user testing for the website. I created tangible examples of changes that would cater better to the selected demographic group targeted by Palmetto State Armory. Overall, this course has made me take a step back and analyze the small parts of PSA, seeing what works, what doesn't work, and finding the solutions to create meaningful change that would better the user experience.
